Fail in swsusp+ACPI under Linux 2.6.6

I have mention that something wrong with the hibernation partition made Phoenix BIOS hibernation take me more 5 mins to enter the boot screen every time I switch my x30 on. While Linux 2.6.6 is out, I decide to give ACPI and software suspend (swsusp) a try again (I had try it while Linux 2.6.0 is out, aound late Dec of 2003). However, I found that the swsusp in Linux 2.6.6 is outdated. New suspend2 have out for a while and planned to merge into the Linux 2.6 later. Worse that the original site have droped the suspend.sh of swsusp 1.x. It spend me much time to make it works. I found that I shouldn’t put “resume=....” parameter in GRUB if I had already specified in kernel config. However the suspend-to-disk is not much stable, It works once but fail today morning. Another problem is that the suspend-to-ram never works. (which is much more important to me) Finally, I decided to switch back to APM and watch until suspend2 merged with Linux main stream.

But if you want to have a try on it, here is some link related.
